Downtown Jacksonville is known for its rising towers, and multi-million dollar state-of-the-art courthouse on Adams Street.

The Jacksonville Bar Association, organized 1897, provides lawyer referral services in the area and boasts of ongoing social meetings and luncheons for its members.

Jacksonville Area Legal Aid is a non-profit law firm which offers free legal services for the low-income or, special needs community-

pro-bono lawyers, donations, and volunteerism is promoted for continued outreach.

Duval County Courthouse

The Fourth Judicial Circuit Court is quartered at the Duval County Courthouse downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The courthouse was relocated and reconstructed in 2012 with approved an approved $350M budget. The seven-story building is 800,000 sq ft and contains space for administrative functions of over 70 offices with 51 courtrooms.

The Association serves as a forum for the legal community. In effort to foster respect for the law, the Jacksonville Bar promotes ethical standards and community service to its members- open to all lawyers. Strengthening relationships between bench and bar, while enabling ties within the community, this Association is promises new concept and innovation.

Jacksonville Area Legal Aid

Every demographic deserves equal opportunity for representation and justice within the legal system. This well-known law firm assists the underserved community by providing lawyers which would be otherwise unaffordable. In 2021, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid took on 6,795 cases. With help for eviction protection rising by 125%, the program received two muliti-million dollar federal grants by year's end, and, in collaborative efforts with Lutheran Social Services hundreds of refugees were able to receive assistance.
